FlyFinder ("FlyFinder," "we," "us," or "our") operates flyfinder.pro (the "Service"), a general aviation aircraft rental discovery platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely by our authentication provider — we never see or store your raw password).

Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card number or other sensitive payment details — Stripe handles that directly, and we only retain a reference to your Stripe customer record and your subscription status.

Content you submit. If you submit a rate correction ("Rate Wrong?"), save a listing as a favorite, list an aircraft, or request availability, we store that information to provide the feature.

Request Help. If you use Request Help, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, city/state or ZIP code, the type of help you need, the details you write, and your consent choice. We use this to review your request, contact you, and try to match you with a suitable aircraft rental, flight school, or instructor. Your request is saved in our database and emailed to the FlyFinder team.

Usage information. We may collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to help us operate and improve the Service.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to: provide and maintain the Service; process subscription payments and manage your account; respond to support requests; improve and secure the Service; and send you service-related communications (such as request confirmations, password reset, and billing emails).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

How We Share Information

We share information only with the service providers that help us run FlyFinder — including our hosting/database provider (Supabase) and our payment processor (Stripe) — solely to the extent necessary for them to perform their services for us. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FlyFinder, our users, or others.

FlyFinder is a discovery platform only. We do not facilitate bookings or transactions between you and any flight school or aircraft owner, and we do not share your personal information with listed schools unless you choose to contact them directly. The one exception is Request Help: if you agree on the form, FlyFinder may share your name, contact details, location, and request with a flight school, instructor, or rental provider only to help match you.

Flight Instructor Applicants

If you apply to the FlyFinder instructor network, we collect the details in your application, including a certificate number used only for private credential verification by FlyFinder's verification team. Certificate numbers, identity records, and any evidence you provide are never displayed publicly, never included in our notification emails, and are accessible only to FlyFinder's verification team. Certificate numbers are stored encrypted, used only to help verify your FAA credentials (including, where appropriate, through official FAA verification services that accept them), and deleted once verification is complete or the application is not approved. Do not submit a Social Security number; if your FAA certificate number is your SSN, contact us for manual verification instead.

We use this information to verify your identity and instructor credentials, including periodic checks against the FAA releasable airmen data, and to contact you about the instructor network. Only the profile fields intended for public display — such as your name, airports, training offered, availability, bio, and the ratings we actually confirmed — are ever shown publicly, and only after identity and FAA credential checks pass and the FlyFinder team gives final approval.

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@flyfinder.pro. We keep Request Help submissions while we work on your request and for a reasonable period afterward for support and record-keeping, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

Your Choices

You can review and update your account information at any time from your account settings. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

FlyFinder is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
